Here are a few home care tips for taking care of your pet!
Grooming
- Make sure you are brushing or combing your pets hair at least once a week.
- On occasions where your pet's hair gets matted or too long, seek a professional groomer as to not harm your pet in the process.
- Always check your pet's collar to ensure that it is not too tight but also not too loose so that they do not slip out of it.
- Check your pet's nails often to make sure that they are not growing into the pads.
- Check your pet's ears often to ensure there is no odor to indicate a possible problem.
- Check your pet's teeth often to make sure there is no excessive build up.
- Bath time! Depending on many factors, please check with your vet to provide information on how often and what to use when you bathe your pet.
Training (mostly for dogs)
- Make sure your dog knows how to walk on a leash properly.
- Teach your pet basic "good boy" commands such as
- "sit"
- "heel"
- "stay"
- "come"
- "quiet"
- "leave it"
- These few commands will help develop a strong bond between you and your pet. It will also help you manage your pets behavior. Most importantly it could save your pet's life.
